Want to write and share your  memories?  Our free Memoir Writing for Seniors courses are just the ticket.  Some seniors have already taken one of these great courses.  Just click on a picture to read the stories they wrote.

Each group meets for two hours once a week for seven weeks. See the Seniors Events Calendar for specific times and venues.

The latest research shows that memoir writing increases emotional, psychological, spiritual and psycho-social well-being.  It’s a way to record and share histories, life lessons, accomplishments and inspirations for family, friends and the community.  Most important, it’s a lot of fun!

If you want to participate in one of these great courses contact Sandra at the Library at 604-485-8667 or stonn@powellriverlibrary.ca. She is a writer, editor, a member of the Association of Personal Historians, and is passionate about helping seniors get their memories and writing flowing.
