Use BC OneCard to Borrow Materials

If you are visiting another Library in BC, you may borrow books from that Library and return them to us if it’s convenient.  The BC OneCard program is paid for by the province and participating BC libraries.  Have a read through these frequently asked questions about BC OneCard for more information.

Q. Can I get a BC OneCard?
A. Yes, all you need is a valid card from a BC Library.

Q. How can I get a BC OneCard?
A. Just show your Powell River Public Library card and some current identification at any public library in BC and ask for a OneCard.

Q. Where can I use my BC OneCard?
A. At any public library in the province. You’ll also need to show current ID with your contact information.

Q. What can I get with my BC OneCard?
A. You may any borrow materials and use any services as decided by each individual library. Ask at each library to find out what it includes.

Q. WHERE do I return the materials I borrow?
A. You may return them to any participating BC OneCard library including the library where you borrowed them or to us when you get back to Powell River.

Q. WHEN are the materials due?
A. You’ll find this out from the library that lends you their materials.

Q. What if I return my books late?
A. You’ll have to pay your fines to the library at which you borrowed the books.
